At CES 2023, the EVChannels team experienced the Vinfast VF8 on a controlled, low-speed test track. While the short duration limited a comprehensive assessment of driving dynamics, acceleration, and ride quality, the VF8 offered a surprisingly pleasant, albeit gentle, driving experience. The steering was noted as light and maneuverable, making navigating the tight course easy. The interior technology, including the heads-up display and voice controls, was highlighted as responsive, though some voice commands were not fully functional during the demo. The VF8 is confirmed for US delivery, with 999 units allocated to customers. The review also touched upon the VF7 and VF9 models, noting their WLTP range estimates and the VF9's three-row configuration. A significant portion of the video was dedicated to Vinfast's e-bike prototypes, for which the company is actively seeking consumer feedback for future development. The overall impression of the VF8 was cautiously optimistic, with a desire for more extensive testing to truly gauge its market potential.
