Our Content Model: A Curation Guide

EVChannels.com is a global EV video guide. Our mission is to help users discover full-length, reviews, test drives, and news available for streaming on public platforms.

We do not host, upload, or store any video content on our servers.

Our platform functions as a "smart" search engine. We programmatically crawl YouTube to identify content that appears to be high-quality automotive content, which is then embedded on our site using YouTube's standard embedding tools.

The "Official Source" Label

As you noted under each video player, we provide an "Official Source" label. This label reflects our core value of transparency. We make a significant effort to identify and link only to official channels run by verified distributors who own or manage the streaming rights to the content.

Our system is designed to promote and drive traffic *to* these licensed sources, not to compete with them.

Notice to Rights Holders & Distributors

We respect your intellectual property. We understand that our data, which relies on public YouTube API information, may have occasional inaccuracies. We offer two distinct processes for contacting us:

1. Notice of Incorrect Attribution (Our Primary Process)

Our internal system links a specific YouTube Channel (e.g., "Car Reviewer") to its parent Distributor (e.g., "Media Group"). This link is researched manually by our team.

As you noted, it is possible for us to make an error in this attribution. If you are a rights holder and find that we have incorrectly linked a channel to the wrong distributor, we will correct it immediately.

Please contact us via our Contact Form with:

  • The URL of the video on our site (e.g., /en/watch/...).
  • The "Incorrect Distributor" listed.
  • The "Correct Distributor" that should be listed.
  • Any proof or contact information that helps us verify the new attribution.

2. Notice of Copyright Infringement (Standard DMCA)

If you believe a video embedded on our site is hosted on YouTube *without* your permission (i.e., the YouTube channel itself is infringing), please note:

EVChannels.com cannot remove the content from YouTube's servers. You must first file a standard DMCA Takedown Notice directly with YouTube, who is the content host.

Once the video is removed from YouTube, our automated scripts will detect that the video is no longer available (giving it a "strike") and will automatically deactivate it from our platform.

To expedite this removal from our *guide*, you may contact us via our Contact Form with proof that a DMCA notice has been filed with YouTube, and we will manually deactivate the link.
