The 2024 Dacia Spring is presented as a highly affordable electric vehicle, aiming to make EV ownership accessible. The "Extreme" trim, reviewed here, features updated styling with new Dacia badging and design elements, though the core platform remains unchanged. Key improvements include a revised interior with a new 10-inch infotainment screen (optional on mid-trims), a height-adjustable steering wheel, and the innovative YouClip accessory system. Practicality is highlighted with a 27 kWh battery offering around 200 km (125 miles) of range, suitable for city driving, and a V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function. However, compromises are evident, particularly in performance (65 hp max, 0-100 km/h in 14s) and charging speed (30 kW DC max). The interior, while improved in design, is largely hard-wearing plastic, and lower trims still feature manual window controls.
