The Lexus NX 450h+ PHEV, reviewed here in its F-Sport trim, is presented as a more luxurious and expensive counterpart to the Toyota RAV4 Prime, sharing identical mechanicals. While it boasts a premium interior with a larger, fully digital dashboard and a more refined user experience, including wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and electric seat/steering adjustments, it falls short in key areas compared to its Toyota sibling. Notably, the Lexus omits the panoramic sunroof, opting for a standard one with a manual shade, and crucially, lacks a spare tire, offering only a repair kit. In terms of real-world EV range, the Lexus achieved approximately 65 km, falling 10 km short of the RAV4 Prime's 75 km, attributed possibly to a headwind and the Lexus's slightly heavier, more insulated build. Despite its higher price point, the absence of a spare tire and panoramic roof are significant drawbacks for a luxury offering.
