EV Channels Review

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS facelift aims to solidify its position as the electric S-Class, incorporating several key updates. The exterior receives a more classic Mercedes aesthetic with a star on the hood and chrome accents in the grille, standard on the Electric Art line. Significant improvements have been made to the battery, with net capacities increased to 96 kWh (small battery) and 118 kWh (big battery), promising a real-world range of around 600 km (370 miles). A crucial addition is the standard heat pump, intended to mitigate the significant range loss experienced in winter on pre-facelift models. The interior sees the Hyperscreen become standard across all EQS variants, and rear seating comfort has been enhanced with improved bench ergonomics and an optional Executive Seating Plus package offering greater luxury. While towing capacity has nearly doubled to 1.7 tons for AWD models, the reviewer notes that despite these upgrades, the rear seating experience, while improved, still doesn't quite match the benchmark set by traditional S-Class models or competitors like the BMW 7 Series.
