Consumer Reports' annual reliability survey results reveal Lexus and Toyota as the most reliable brands, a consistent trend. General Motors shows improvement, earning the title of most reliable domestic automaker, with models like the Impala and Corvette performing well, though their pickup trucks, the Silverado and Sierra, still present issues. Ford is showing signs of recovery after a period of unreliability stemming from extensive redesigns, with models like the Fusion now recommended due to improved reliability, particularly in their infotainment systems. Fiat Chrysler struggles significantly, with the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Chrysler cited as problematic, and the 500L identified as the least reliable car. Nissan faces a deep slump, with the Altima and Infiniti Q50 experiencing severe infotainment and other issues.
