Instead, the Elettrica utilizes "power levels" controlled via paddles to simulate shifting and offers a unique, amplified electromechanical sound derived from the electric motors themselves. When not driven in "manual" mode, the car operates silently for a more relaxed experience. Ferrari has focused on integrating the battery pack seamlessly with the chassis for structural integrity and repairability, and employs a sophisticated multi-circuit cooling system to manage heat. While not intended for track use, the Elettrica is designed to offer a highly engaging and agile driving experience, comparable to smaller cars, thanks to its quad-motor setup and advanced electronic architecture. The decision to make this a larger, potentially four-seater vehicle stems from the architectural advantages of EVs in accommodating increased dimensions without sacrificing agility, a feat difficult for traditional sports car designs.
