Raffy, who previously owned plug-in hybrids, shares his experience transitioning to full electric. He highlights the Kona's surprisingly quick acceleration and praises its wireless Apple CarPlay. A key feature he appreciates, and wishes Tesla offered, is the rear cross-traffic collision avoidance system, which he found invaluable for safe backing out of parking spots. However, Raffy notes two significant dislikes: the absence of adaptive cruise control on the SE trim (requiring an upgrade to the Limited trim) and the lack of a 12V cigarette lighter plug, replaced by USB ports that he finds insufficient for accessories like his old tire inflator. Despite these drawbacks, Raffy considers the Kona EV a great entry-level EV due to its affordable price point and sufficient range for local use, stating he would buy it again.
