The hybrid powertrain, shared with the Toyota Yaris Cross, delivers efficient city driving and a surprisingly sporty, agile feel, especially in the AWD variant, which features a more sophisticated double-wishbone rear suspension. However, the 136 horsepower engine's acceleration is considered adequate rather than powerful, and the ride can be firm on larger wheels. Despite some shortcomings in perceived premiumness compared to German rivals or larger Lexus models, its efficiency, driving dynamics, and the brand's reputation for reliability make it a compelling, albeit not perfect, option in its niche.
