BYD has unveiled a groundbreaking 'Super E' platform capable of charging an electric vehicle in just 5 minutes, a feat achieved through a 1,000-volt architecture and a silicon carbide chip delivering up to 1,000 kW charging power. This technology promises to add approximately 400 km of range in the same time it takes to refuel a gasoline car. The platform will initially debut in the Han L sedan and Tang L SUV, both priced around $37,000 and featuring a powerful single-motor setup.
