The Tesla Cybertruck is finally nearing production, with deliveries expected to commence in the third quarter of 2023, potentially around September. While the exact pricing and final configurations remain unconfirmed, Tesla originally announced three variants: single motor RWD, dual motor AWD, and tri-motor AWD, with projected ranges of 250, 300, and 500 miles respectively. Elon Musk has indicated that making the Cybertruck affordable will be challenging, with annual production potentially reaching 250,000 to 500,000 units. Significant design updates include a revised steering wheel, which may be a traditional round wheel or an improved yoke, and a larger 18.5-inch display. The exterior has seen a slight size reduction of 3%, with a more level centerline and lower windowsill. Manufacturing will utilize a new exoskeleton construction method and a massive 9000-ton Giga press. Despite production delays and evolving design details, the Cybertruck continues to generate immense interest, with over 1.5 million reservations.
