EV Channels Review

Nine months into ownership, Lacey shares her experience with the Nissan Ariya, highlighting its striking design and comfortable size as major positives. She secured a favorable lease deal, paying $256/month with zero down. However, the Ariya is not without its drawbacks. The most significant complaint is the lack of true one-pedal driving, requiring multiple button presses each time the car is started. Software issues are also prevalent, including laggy performance, CarPlay connectivity problems, and an inconsistent braking feel. The lane-centering feature is deemed inferior to Tesla's, and the vehicle's charging curve is particularly poor in winter, with speeds rarely exceeding 70 kW. Additionally, two recalls were issued, one of which the dealership could not yet fix. Despite these issues, Lacey still likes the Ariya's aesthetics and size, and would consider it again, though she might opt for a less luxurious, cheaper model next time due to the absence of EV rebates in Maryland.
