The Polestar 2 offers less range (235 miles) and costs more than the comparable Model 3 Performance, which achieves 0-60 in 3.1 seconds with a 315-mile range for $5,000 less. Despite its competent driving dynamics, comfortable ride, and practical features like a hatchback design and ample cargo space, the value proposition is difficult to justify against Tesla's offerings. DeMuro concludes that while his heart prefers the Polestar 2 for its unique character and design, the Tesla Model 3 Performance remains the better overall car due to its superior performance, range, and price.
