The 2025 Kia Carnival receives a significant refresh, aiming to bolster its appeal against rivals like the Toyota Sienna. Key updates include a new hybrid powertrain, which pairs a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor, producing 242 horsepower and mated to a six-speed automatic. This hybrid option is available on all trims except the base LX. The traditional 3.5L V6 with 280 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic continues. Exterior styling adopts Kia's latest design language, seen on models like the EV9, with updated lighting and a more SUV-like appearance. Inside, the Carnival boasts a premium cabin, particularly on the SX Prestige trim, featuring a dual 12.3-inch display setup with upgraded graphics and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. New for 2025 is an available head-up display. The VIP Lounge Seating package in the second row offers exceptional comfort with reclining seats and leg rests, a feature not found in the Sienna. Cargo space remains a strong point, offering up to 145.1 cubic feet. While pricing is unconfirmed, it's expected to be similar to the current model, with the hybrid likely commanding a higher price. The Carnival does not offer all-wheel drive for 2025.
