EV Channels Review

After a week-long evaluation, the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV SS impresses with its potent 615 horsepower and surprisingly practical daily usability. The SS trim offers an aggressive aesthetic with gloss black accents, 22-inch wheels, and Brembo brakes, while the interior boasts a premium mix of materials and extensive storage solutions, highlighted by the "doughnut test" revealing 17 donuts of center console capacity. The 17.7-inch infotainment system, while responsive and featuring Google built-in, notably lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a significant drawback for many users. Driving dynamics are a mixed bag: acceleration is breathtakingly quick (0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds), and the ride is comfortable for cruising, even with the larger wheels. However, the sport-tuned suspension, while stiffer than other trims, still exhibits body roll, and the seats lack the bolstering needed for spirited driving. Real-world range came in at 275 miles on the 102 kWh battery, slightly below the EPA estimate but acceptable given the performance focus. The lack of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto is the primary "airball," while the overall livability and practicality, even in this high-performance variant, are the "slam dunk."
