The Cupra Tavascan is presented as the 'evil twin' of the VW ID.4/ID.5, sharing a platform but offering a distinct, sportier design and driving experience. The VZ trim, featuring dual motors for AWD, delivers impressive acceleration (0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds) and engaging handling, particularly in 'Cupra mode' with DCC adaptive suspension. The exterior design is highlighted as a strong point, with unique lighting signatures and a coupe-like profile. Inside, the cockpit is praised for its supercar-inspired aesthetic, featuring a large 15-inch infotainment screen with improved software responsiveness and attractive sport seats. However, the review notes some drawbacks: the absence of a frunk, the use of capacitive buttons on the steering wheel without strong haptic feedback, and a low, stiff armrest that is poorly positioned. Build quality in the rear door panels is also criticized as being too hard.
