The latest spy photos reveal the upcoming 2025 Jeep Cherokee (KM), poised to re-enter the D-segment with a significant shift towards a hybrid powertrain. Unlike its fully electric stablemates, the Wagoneer S and Recon, this new Cherokee will feature a unique 1.6L Turbo Hybrid engine paired with a novel three-speed hybrid transmission, built in Michigan. While specific performance figures are yet to be released, expectations are around 180-200 horsepower. The design appears more conventional and rugged than the Wagoneer S, with a focus on increased cargo capacity and a move away from chrome accents towards a blacked-out aesthetic, mirroring trends seen in other new Jeep models. The vehicle will be exclusively for the North American market and will come standard with AWD, a decision that may not appeal to all buyers. Initial trims will include Sport, Latitude (North in Canada), and a top-tier Limited model, with pricing expected to range from the mid-$30,000s to around $60,000. A Trailhawk variant is anticipated for the 2026 model year.
