While it shares many similarities with its 40-amp predecessor, the reviewer highlights a significant drawback: the new, less rubberized connector feels cheaper and less premium than the previous version. A major concern for those in colder climates is the cable's poor performance in freezing temperatures, becoming extremely stiff and difficult to manage, a significant downgrade from the ChargePoint Home Flex.
