He highlights two available trims: the Premium starting around $60,000 and the Luxury trim, as tested, around $65,000. While the RZ boasts a more appealing design than its Toyota and Subaru counterparts, its electric range is a significant drawback, rated at only 196 miles with the 20-inch wheels, falling short of competitors like the Tesla Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E. Performance is also deemed merely adequate, with a 0-60 mph time of 5.5 seconds. DeMuro praises the interior's premium materials, including full Alcantara seats, the innovative 'magic' sunroof, and the dual-opening center console lid. However, he notes the infotainment system's lack of split-screen capability and the gauge cluster's limited functionality, partially offset by a useful head-up display. Despite its Lexus build quality and reliability appeal, the RZ's poor range and performance for its price point make it an average offering in a competitive segment, best suited for city driving rather than long road trips.
