Mason achieved 63.3 MPG using slow acceleration, Eco mode, and no climate control. Drew secured the win with 65.5 MPG by accelerating moderately to reach speed, then coasting and utilizing EV power for steady cruising, also with Eco mode and no climate control. Josh's strategy of locking into EV mode below 25 mph and using normal drive mode resulted in 52.6 MPG, significantly lower than the others, with the highway portion proving to be a challenge for his method. The team concludes that a balanced approach of moderate acceleration followed by coasting and EV power utilization yields the best results, significantly surpassing the EPA's 47 MPG rating for the XSE FWD model.
