The 2025 Nissan Ariya Platinum Plus e-4ORCE is a stylish, comfortable, and spacious electric SUV that unfortunately arrived late to the US market and is set to be discontinued after 2025. While its distinctive design, premium interior with comfortable Napa leather seats, and ample passenger space are highlights, the Ariya falls short in key areas. Charging speeds, both at home (14 hours for a full charge) and on DC fast chargers, are significantly slower than competitors. Its EPA-estimated range of 257 miles is also on the lower end, though real-world testing achieved a more respectable 260 miles. Performance is adequate with 389 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of under 5 seconds, but it's not class-leading. The infotainment software feels dated, and the center console storage is disappointingly shallow. Despite its flaws, the Ariya offers a refined and quiet driving experience, but its premium price point, especially for the Platinum Plus trim at $55,000, makes it a difficult recommendation against more advanced and affordable rivals, particularly with the discontinuation looming.
