The "Foundation Series" dual-motor AWD model, priced at $100,000, boasts 600 horsepower and a 123 kWh battery, with an EPA-estimated range of 340 miles. Positives include its sports-car-like acceleration, competitive towing capacity (11,000 lbs), a functional 6-foot bed with a tonneau cover, and a surprisingly well-finished interior for a Tesla. However, significant drawbacks are noted, primarily stemming from its radical design. Visibility is severely compromised by thick A-pillars and the tonneau cover blocking the rear window, necessitating heavy reliance on camera systems. The steer-by-wire system, while innovative, presents a steep learning curve.
