While its starting price of around $78,000 is a significant hurdle, the claimed EPA range of 450 miles offers substantial promise. The WT model features a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup producing 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and a payload of 1,400 pounds. Real-world towing tests suggest a range of approximately 200-250 miles when towing 8,000 pounds, a notable improvement over competitors. The interior is designed for utility with durable vinyl flooring, and the expansive cab offers ample space. A standout feature is the 10.2 kW off-board power capability, allowing the truck to power tools or even act as a temporary home power source. However, the base WT trim lacks the midgate and fancy tailgate found on higher trims, and its styling, particularly the black front fascia on a white body, is considered plain by some. Despite the high initial cost, the Silverado EV WT presents a compelling, purpose-built electric truck solution for fleet and commercial use, emphasizing range and utility.
