Toyota has officially unveiled the all-new C-HR Plus, a battery-electric SUV that aims to capture the European market. The vehicle boasts a striking coupe-like silhouette, building on the C-HR's established design DNA while incorporating more sophisticated and modern styling cues. Toyota highlights its dynamic driving experience, offering instant torque and responsive acceleration, particularly with the dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup which produces up to 343 horsepower. The C-HR Plus will feature two battery capacity options, with the larger pack estimated to deliver up to 600 km (approx. 326 miles) of WLTP range. Practicality is also improved with a slightly larger size than its predecessor, offering more rear cabin and boot space. The updated eTG platform brings enhancements like 22 kW AC charging and battery preconditioning for faster charging speeds. While the reviewer notes the C-HR Plus looks better than the bZ4X and even the Lexus RZ from certain angles, a direct comparison to the Tesla Model Y suggests the latter remains superior in charging and overall execution.
