Real-world fuel economy is a concern, averaging 31 mpg in hybrid mode and a less impressive 23 mpg on petrol alone, highlighting the importance of consistent charging. The driving experience is generally smooth and refined, particularly in town, with the air suspension and light steering contributing to ease of use. However, the plug-in hybrid's added weight impacts handling on twisty roads, making it feel cumbersome compared to rivals like the BMW X5. The reviewer notes a significant drawback for the UK market: the removal of DC rapid charging capability, extending charging times considerably.
