All cars received a stage one tune, with the M340i boasting the highest horsepower (470hp) and the M340d the most torque (850Nm). In standing quarter-mile drag races, the M340i emerged victorious with a time of 12 seconds, followed closely by the M340d at 12.3 seconds, and the 330e at 12.7 seconds. Rolling races from 50mph revealed surprising results, with the 330e initially struggling with kickdown but later showing strong performance, even beating the petrol M340i in a 6th gear roll. The diesel M340d also showed its strength in higher gears. Braking tests from 100mph saw the M340i perform best, with the reviewer attributing the difference to tire compounds. Overall, the M340i proved the quickest in a straight line, but the hybrid and diesel variants offered competitive performance in rolling scenarios, highlighting the diverse strengths of each powertrain.
