THE SMALL EV DC CHARGER THAT COULD WORK FOR YOU! AUTEL DC COMPACT 3 MONTH REVIEW

EV Channels Review

Kyle provides a comprehensive three-month review of the Autel DC Compact 40kW mobile DC charger, highlighting its utility for both fleet management and private EV owners. He praises its ease of use, particularly in 'dumb off-network mode,' and its robust backend software, which offers real-time monitoring and diagnostics. The charger's ability to deliver 40kW within 45 seconds, its quiet operation, and its resilience even when airflow is restricted are noted as significant advantages. The reviewer also commends its swappable 20kW power modules, allowing for dual 20kW charging, and its over-the-air software update capability, which is a rarity in the DC charger market. Key areas for improvement identified are its weight, making it difficult for one person to move, and the lack of 208/240V connection options, requiring a three-phase power source. Despite these minor drawbacks, the reviewer concludes that the Autel DC Compact is a high-quality, well-integrated, and competitively priced solution for various DC charging needs.
