The XCharge Grid Link represents a significant evolution from their previous NetZero series, boasting a completely in-house developed battery pack, modules, and cooling system. The design is a major upgrade, featuring a bright, easily visible touchscreen even in direct sunlight, and improved cable management with a weighted, recoiling system that is a substantial improvement over previous iterations. Key advancements include a DC-to-DC AC system with heat pump capabilities, enhanced thermal management for wider operating temperatures, and a novel safety feature where individual battery modules flood in case of a thermal event, allowing for easier repair and reduced environmental impact. The unit is highly versatile, supporting 208V or 480V input, solar integration, and bidirectional power flow. Future iterations promise even higher power output (300kW) and expandability with multiple battery modules and chargers. While the current model offers 200kW output, its modularity, ease of installation (often replacing Level 2 chargers), and advanced features like remote advertising and comprehensive diagnostics make it a compelling solution for various charging scenarios, especially where grid upgrades are prohibitive.
