The Hyundai Kona Electric and Peugeot e-2008, both revised for a new generation, are put head-to-head. The all-new Hyundai Kona is praised for its distinctive styling, significantly improved refinement, and a more spacious and practical interior, particularly in the rear. Its usability is enhanced by a conventional dashboard layout with ample physical buttons and a well-balanced driving experience, though the seat squab is noted as being a bit short. The Peugeot e-2008, while heavily facelifted, impresses with its stylish interior, premium-feeling materials, and a more comfortable, supple ride. However, its unconventional i-Cockpit driving position and reliance on touchscreen controls for some functions are points of contention. The Kona offers a superior range (319 miles WLTP vs. 250 miles WLTP for the Peugeot) and faster charging for its larger battery, along with a standard 11kW charger and heat pump. While the Peugeot charges faster for its smaller battery, the Kona ultimately emerges as the more practical and feature-rich option, despite the Kona's slightly firmer ride and the Peugeot's more comfortable seats and superior ride comfort.
