The MG Cyberster marks a significant departure for the brand, positioning itself as a premium electric convertible with a substantial price tag for Australia, starting at $115,000. The "Go Fast" trim is the sole offering locally, featuring an all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup producing 375kW and over 700Nm of torque, enabling a blistering 0-100km/h time of 3.91 seconds (though slightly slower than optimal battery conditions). While its straight-line acceleration is undeniably impressive, the Cyberster leans more towards a Grand Tourer than a sports car. The suspension, while comfortable for daily driving and absorbing bumps well, becomes too soft and unsettled when pushed hard through corners, leading to intrusive stability control interventions.
