The updated Haval H6 hybrid presents a compelling package, particularly given its aggressive pricing and extensive feature set. The design refresh, including the larger grille and blacked-out accents, is well-received, as is the significantly upgraded infotainment system with its responsive interface. Practicality is a strong suit, offering ample space for families and good cargo capacity, though the hybrid variants lose some boot space and the spare tire. On the road, the hybrid powertrain delivers strong acceleration and a seamless transition between electric and petrol power, achieving respectable real-world fuel economy around 7.7L/100km, close to the official 5.2L/100km, and it only requires 91 RON fuel. However, the review highlights significant drawbacks: the firm ride quality, particularly at the rear, and a frustratingly uncomfortable seating position and steering wheel angle that make finding an ergonomic driving posture difficult. While the lane-keeping assist shows improvement, the braking performance is notably poor, with long stopping distances. Despite these issues, the H6 hybrid is praised for its value, space, and punchy performance, but potential buyers are strongly advised to conduct an extended test drive to assess comfort before purchasing.
