While the Veloce trim impresses with its sophisticated adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, and engaging handling dynamics, the mild-hybrid drivetrain is a significant letdown. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine lacks the 'Alfa fizz' expected, exhibiting laggy responses and a general lack of spirited performance, which clashes with the car's otherwise capable chassis. The interior offers good technology and a premium feel, especially with the optional Lusso pack, though some plastics feel less premium than expected and rear seat comfort is compromised by a fixed cushion. Fuel economy figures were higher than the official combined rating, averaging 7.0 L/100km on country roads and 11.2 L/100km when pushed.
