Kia has unveiled the EV4, showcasing both sedan and hatchback variants, built on the familiar 400-volt E-GMP platform. The EV4 offers two battery sizes (58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh), with WLTP ranges between 270 and 390 miles. Charging to 80% takes approximately 30 minutes. While the sedan offers more boot space, the hatchback is deemed more practical for UK and European markets. Notably, the EV4 is currently front-wheel drive only, with no mention of an all-wheel-drive or GT variant. The interior features a 30-inch display cluster and reclining seats. Pricing is estimated to start in the late 30s (GBP/EUR). The EV4 is positioned to compete with vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 and VW ID.3, with production slated for Korea and Slovakia.
