BMW X3 COMPARED TO TESLA MODEL Y

EV Channels Review

The reviewer compares a BMW X3 sDrive30i loaner to their Tesla Model Y, concluding that the Model Y is the superior choice for those spending similar amounts. While acknowledging BMW's quality, comfort, and excellent service, the reviewer finds the X3's interior plasticky and its four-cylinder engine underwhelming compared to the Tesla's instant acceleration and performance. The X3 offers better visibility and a more luxurious ride quality, absorbing bumps more effectively. However, the reviewer highlights the Tesla's advantages in efficiency, lower depreciation, over-the-air updates, and the robust Supercharger network. Ultimately, the reviewer advises potential buyers in the $40k-$50k range to opt for the Tesla Model Y for its overall value, driving experience, and technological advancements, stating it's not even a close comparison.
