However, the year wasn't without its disappointments, with the Tesla Model Y singled out as the Most Disappointing Car due to its poor ride quality and dated feel, despite its sales potential. The BMW iX3 surprisingly impressed as the Most Surprising Car. Ultimately, the Kia EV6 is declared AutoEV's overall Electric Car of the Year 2021, lauded for exceeding expectations with its blend of style, performance, range, and charging capability, rivaling premium brands and Tesla.
