The Kia EV9 is the standout Large Family EV, a sensationally practical, well-built, and efficient SUV that challenges premium brands. The Polestar 3 is named Best Premium EV, lauded for its driving dynamics, Scandinavian design, and sustainability focus, outperforming German rivals. The Hyundai Ioniq 5N dominates the Money-No-Object category and is crowned AutoEV's Car of the Year 2024, hailed as a line-in-the-sand moment for driver's cars, offering sensational performance and engagement. The Skywell B11 is the Most Disappointing EV, criticized for poor build quality, performance, and value for money. Renault secures the Innovation Award for its sustainable manufacturing practices and local sourcing strategy, exemplified by the Renault 5. The Kia EV3, Hyundai Ioniq 5N, and Renault 5 were also recognized in the Viewer's Choice award, with the Renault 5 taking the top spot.
