EV Channels Review
The Audi Q6 e-tron, built on the new PPE platform shared with Porsche, aims to be Audi's next step in premium electric mobility. While it boasts a distinctive new styling with split headlights and a generally pleasing aesthetic (especially in darker colors), the interior quality is a significant disappointment. The reviewer highlights numerous rattles, cheap-feeling materials, and a lack of physical buttons, opting for touch-sensitive controls that are prone to accidental activation. Manual seats on a car at this price point are also criticized. Despite the advanced technology like augmented reality HUD and a shortcut button for driver assistance systems, the overall interior experience feels like a step down from previous Audis and lacks a sense of specialness. Real-world range is also a concern, with the Q6 e-tron achieving only 190 miles on a motorway journey in cold conditions, far short of its claimed 349 miles. Charging speeds are good, however, with 10-80% in 22 minutes thanks to its 800-volt architecture.
